The last regular show this year, since next week we do a Tracks of My Years special for the festive season and in the last weekend of 2018 we take a trip through the best albums of this year. So what can you expect in this show? Mark Hollis of Talk Talk released his one and only solo album 20 years ago. Roine Stolt's Flower King is album of the month, the vault is for ELO and this weeks tracks of my years is by the Who. New releases from Ellesmere, Overhead, That Joe Payne, The Beautified Project ft. Antimatter and Dream Theater. The 2nd hour which is our Overdrive episode: Quick Messenger Service with an extended "Who Do You Love" and Salem Hill from their album "Not Everybody's Gold". Yes, we're at it again. Only a couple more shows this year, so don't miss out on them. This weekend we've got the new Steve Hackett, Roine Stolt with the album of the Month, the new Nektar, Tori Amos (taking us back 20 Years), an exclusive track from Kinetic Element, Nick Mason takes us to the Floyd's trip in the US when Steve Miller Band had a big hit which was played on every radio station, from Norway lovely Tirill to bring us in a winter mood, some jazzy sounds by the Buckett List featuring Jerry Marotta and Tony Levin and in case you didn't brush you teeth after eating all those sweets last wednesday we have Alice Cooper to remind you of the consequences. WE LET THE MUSIC DO THE TALKING ONCE AGAIN!
Starting off with Japanese band "Ruins" from 20 years ago and we finish with Japanese band "Mono" from their latest release. The songs in between are by Pineapple Thief, Quantum Pig, Soen, Emma Tricca, Aerostation and a re-release by Marillion. In the Vault we find Mike Oldfield with Jon Anderson, our new album of the month is by Roine Stolt and the Tracks of my Years with Pink Floyd's Nick Mason features a song by Joni Mitchell performed by Bob Dylan. In the Overdrive episode this time we meet some of the artist from part 1 by the likes of Jon Anderson with King Crimson and Roine Stolt with his original Flower Kings. Lots to enjoy for Progheads. The final show of November takes us back 20 years to Djam Karet from their album "Reflections from the Firepool", even further back is the song by Jethro Tull in The Vault, 1969 to be exact. We also have new releases by Queenrÿche, Rikard Sjöbloms Gungfly and Trevor Horn. The tracks of my years with Johannes Luley features Steve Hillage from his highly acclaimed album "Green", produced by Pink Floyd's Nick Mason and today is your last chance to listen to our album of the month by Tiger Moth Tales. Furthermore from Italy La Coscienza di Zeno and the Armistice is again represented in this hour by Pallas' Graeme Murray from the "Courage and other songs of War and Peace" album. This time we have Rick Wakeman in the Vault together with Jon Lord @ Sunflower Jam 2011 and Rick takes us back 20 years with his album "Themes" with "Hall of Fame", in which he eventually was enducted last year together with the other members of Yes. Furthermore Johannes Luley with the tracks of my years presenting the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Tiger Moth Tales as Album of the Month, with special introduction by Pete Jones himself, the new Freedom to Glide, to commemorate the end of WWI and Jadis in the Live Act at the Boerderij. New releases from Ellesmere, In Continuum, Progeland and Millenium. The 2nd hour another TVRDOverdrive with three long tracks by Damanek from their new album "In Flight", Kinetic Element from their upcoming album "The Face Of Life" and we go live with Yes ft. A new Swedish band by the name of Kaleidoreal in this show from their debut album "A Life Wasted" and we have two Saga's, one from Canada in our Live Act and one from Portugal in "the Vault". Johannes Luley's  tracks brings us to Gino Vannelli's album "Brother to Brother". More new tracks from David Kerzner's In Continuum featuring Steve Hackett and Jon Davison, The Tangent and Universe Effects. From our album of the month by Tiger Moth Tales we play "Toad of Toad Hall" inspired by the 1929 stage play by Alan Alexander Milne (which is a dramatisation of Kenneth Grahame's children's book "The Wind in the Willows") and we start the show going back 20 years with another Swedish band called World of Silence. TVRDOverdrive is our 2nd hour with this time just 3 tracks. German band Anyone's Daughter kicks off from their album "Adonis", then Italian band Taproban from "Strigma" and we close with US keyboard virtuoso David Sancious and Tone from "The Speed of Love". TVRDO 355 Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th of November

20 Years ago Mystery released their second album "Destiny?", our new album of the month is by Pete "Tiger Moth Tales" Jones, the Vault is for Swedish folk proggers Kebnekaise and Johannes Luley pick for The Tracks of My Years is by Soft Machine. New band Umae send us their first single "Turn Back Time" with vocals by John Wesley. Arena's new single "Poisoned" is a hommage to loved ones lost to illness and specifically to cancer. They started a social media campaign on twitter (@ArenaVerglas) and facebook (@ArenaBandofficial). Steve Walsh is present from an album he participated in called Leonardo, the Absolute Man. RPI from Twenty Four Hours and we close the first hour with a special TVRDO mix of Jon Anderson's new solo album "1000 Hands".
In part 2 of the show, which we have baptised TVRDOverdrive, once again only two tracks. This time by the Swedes "Simon Says" and Italian "Consorzio Acqua Potabile" (CAP for short). TVRDO 354 Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th of October

For maximum effect of this show place yourself in a comfortable and even distance between the speakers of your music center and turn the volume control to eleven. So if you do so enjoy Galahad's 1998 album "Myopia", Fish's new release "Little Man What Now" and Randy George's tracks of my years with Styx's Equinox. Furthermore our own mix of Thom York's Greenpeace song "Hands off the Antartic" and a rare track from Camel in the Vault with vocals by Doug Ferguson informing us it's Autumn. In this show we start off with Connecticut based band Crucible from their album "Tall Tales" from 1998, the new album by John Hacket "Beyond the Stars"(and what a symphonic beauty this is), Randy George takes us to his brother, then member in Genesis, in the tracks of my years with a track from "Trick of the Tail". More new tracks from NoSound, Tiger Moth Tales, Regal Worm and Trevor (Buggles/Yes) Horn. In the Vault we find Eddie Howell from the "Contributions" album from Brian May released at the end of last year. From our album of the month by Subsignal we play "When all the trains are sleeping" and we go live with Steven Wilson in the Royal Albert Hall with "Pariah".
The 2nd hour the final "Laserium" special this month with not necessarely Prog related songs, but a joy to listen to nevertheless.

TVRDO 352 Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th of October

Poland is well represented this episode with Quidam from their album Sny Aniolów, 20 years ago and the new release from Riverside, Wasteland. We stay in Eastern hemispheres with the new release from iamthemorning, Ocean Sounds. The tracks of my years brings us back to the Yes album `Going for the One` and the vault is for Spitit and Taurus which is again in the picture due to the lawsuit against Led Zeppelin in releation to some chords they allegedly stole for Stairway to Heaven, so listen and see if they have a point. From the album of the month by Subsignal we play `Every Able Hand´ and we play a track from the magnificent Kate Bush boxset which is to be released next month. Furthermore new releases from NoSound, the Tangent and Jolly. We finish the first hour with a live track from Anneke van Giersbergen´s ´Symphonized` called Your Glorious Light Will Shine - Helsinki, originally from her band Vuur. In Part 2 we take you back to 1979. When I was in London that time I went to see a couple of Laserium's show at the Planetarium London (next to Mme Tussauds). We take you back with the music played on one of these shows, and it's not only prog!

The 5th weekend of September and another special. Not a cover and tributes show this time but an hour of RPI, Rock Progressivo Italiano. We have selected a number of bands from Italy such as Arca Progjet, Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM), RanestRane, Witchwood, Taproban, Northern Lines, Graal and Le Orme, which is by no means half of what comes out of Italy what Progressive Rock is concerned, but hey, we only have an hour. Undoubtedly we will do another RPI special next year. For the record, however, RPI has always been well represented in our shows throughout the years. Thanks to Anto from Jolly Roger Records to unlock music from bands previously not played in the show. A double bill to start with featuring Colin Bass of Camel, first 20 years ago with his album An Outcast from the Island and then his teaming up with Amarok from the album "Nuke". We have Gino Vanelli in the Track of My Years voted by Nad Sylvan, David Bowie in the Vault from Space Oddity, this song was released as the flip side of the hitsingle (a personal favourite of Rick Wakeman) with nice orchestral work by Tony Visconte and for the last time Overture as our album of the month. Once again we feature Yes ft ARW from Live at the Apollo, this time with their smash hit Owner of a lonely Heart. New releases from Damanek, Shineback, Neil Morse  and Jean-Michel Jarre to complete the first part. Part 2 includes tracks from the Crimson ProjeKct, Frequency Drift, Dave Sinclair, the Jeff Green Project, Kompendum (ft. 20 Years ago Norwegian proggers White Willow released their album Ex Tenebris, a catchy song from German outfit starfish64, the new Coheed and Cambria and Sanguine Hum. Polish band Riverside with a track from their upcoming album "Wasteland" and Nad Sylvan is still here with some tracks of his years, this time he chose Barry Ryan's "Eloise". Former Fairport Convention frontman Richard Thompson is also featured with a track from new album "13 Rivers". From the album of the month by Overture we play "Crop Circles" and in the vault we find Nightwing with a guest appearance of Steve Hackett. Singer Max Bacon was later added to supergroup GTR with the same Steve Hackett and Yes guitar virtuoso Steve Howe. Part 2 of the show includes Robert Reed, The Pineapple Thief, Echo Trails, The D Project, Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash (ft. Steve Hackett released a box set comprising his albums from 1984-2006, we chose "Myopia" from "Till We have Faces". 20 years ago Finnish band Ageness made an album called Imageness, from Italy we have Graal, from Greece we have seventies chartbusters Axis in the Vault, who besides Ela Ela and Someone made some fine Progrock. The tracks of my years this time features Nik Kershaw as a Nad Sylvan pick and we go live with Yes ft. ARW for a double live bill from the upcoming dvd Live at the Apollo with a song they haven't played live since Jon Anderson was forced to quit and the song which made them famous in the Netherlands and throughout the world for that matter.
The 2nd hour a mini special of one of former finest Australian Progressive rockbands Unitopia, then twin guitars with Wishbone Ash followed by sublime craftmanship from John Basset. Asia is in the shoebox from the movie "Over The Top", Don Airey gives us an Adagio together with Gary Moore and some symphonic rock by Synaesthesia. Pop proggers ACT to follow and we close with the more melancholy sound of Robert John Godfrey.

The last song of our album of the month by Mystery is a lenghty one called "Chrysalis". A new Crippled Black Phoenix and 3.2 finishes the first hour, after we have yet another Summer Sounds Song this time by Dusty.

We start the show with Landmarq who released their "Science of Coincidence" 20 years ago, then we head to Italy with some nice work from Overture's recent album. Then the brand new single from Toto which is a cover by Weezer, you may check our website for the story behind this song. John Young chose UK's "Nevermore" for the tracks of his years, and has a story behind it and in the Vault we find US rockers "Krazy Kat". The 2nd half another track from our album of the month by Mystery, followed by the new Gazpacho, The Pineapple Thief, Phideaux and Dutch proggers Philhelmon. We close with another SummerSounds this time from Marianne Faithful. Supergroup Liquid Tension Experiment (formed by Mike Portnoy and includes Tony Levin, John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess) starts off our show with a track from their 1998 self titled album. Then a new song from Yes feat. ARW, penned by Trevor (Owner of a Loney Heart) Rabin and John Young gives us another glimpse on the tracks of his years with a great song from the band England from their album "Garden Shed" (1977). Due to the lenght of this track "The Vault" has been scrapped for this edition. Another long track we play from the album of the Month by Mystery called "Looking for Something else" and is once again being introduced by Alex Driessen. We continue with a track from Phil Collin's new album "Plays well with others" featuring Eric Clapton and our Summer Sound this time is from Phillip Goodhand Tait himself when he's Oceans Away. The album has been rereleased to mark it's 20th anniversary. Furthermore the new Riverside, Argos, Southern Empire, Muse and the Pilot Project ft. David Patton, Alan Parsons is in the Vault with a project that never was. We also have Annie Lenox or is it Kate Bush? Listen to the remarkable Happy Rhodes. Genesis is featured in the Tracks of My Years, this time with John Young of Lifesigns. We make a kind of a raindance at the start with Tangerine Dreams' album "Atlantic Bridges, released 20 years ago. New releases from Big Big Train, Soft Machine, Kingcrow, Needlepoint and Dutch Proggers Projection with their EP Reflections. For the last time a track from our album of the month by The Sea Within, the Vault is for Electric Light Orchestra from their 1971 album "No Answer" and Ron Bumblefoot let's us listen to one of his protigés. TVRDO 339 Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th of July

We go back 20 years with Nightwish, which was at the same time my first acquaintance with this band from Finland, and I fell in love with this song and the voice of the then vocalist Tarja Turunen. The Van Der Graaf Generator is live this hour from a concert at RockPalast and in the shoebox we have a very proggy Move. Another track from our album of the month by "supergroup" The Sea Within. The Italians are represented with the bands Not A Good Sign and Glad Tree this hour. Furthermore another track from Matt (The Mighty Handful) Howes but also a new track from Crippled Black Phoenix. Ron Bumblefoot of Sons of Apollo treats us this time on a live track from King Crimson from their "The Noise" film. TVRDO 338 Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of July

Canadian folkprog singer Loreena McKennit is in our double bill with a track released 20 years ago from her album "Book of Secrets" and a track from her new album "Lost Souls". A second track from our Album of the Month by The Sea Within. Ron Bumblefoot of Sons of Apollo treats us with a track from the "Danger Money" album of UK and we have a track from the first album of Supertramp dating back to 1970. This is to coinside Roger Hodgson's tour and the review by Alex Driessen on our website from his concert at the Nieuwe Luxor Theatre Rotterdam the 26th of June. Furthermore new prog releases from Holland with Kingfisher Sky and Hillsphere. Representing the UK this time with new releases are The Paradox Twin with guest spots from both John Mitchell and Kim Seviour and we have the new "live" release by Big Big Train, out July 13th, "The Swan Hunter". TVRDO 337 Saturday the 30th of June and Sunday the 1st of July

Our first show in July starts with an album released by Elegant Simplicity 20 years ago, then Dutch proggers PBII making a statement back in 2010 about the plastic in our Oceans, the then Dutch minister for Environment, Jacqueline Cramer, said at the time "I think it's great PBII chose plastic soup as a topic on their new album! The more people know about it, the better!". Soft voiced Annette Peacock we find in the Vault. The 2nd half hour we have another "Tracks of My Years" item this time with Ron Bumblefoot, where he chooses four songs which were influential and dear to him. He chose "Awaken" by Yes to kick off this month's topic. Our new album of the month is by a new super group called The Sea Within, with band members Roine Stolt, Jonas Reingold and Daniel Gildenlöw of Flower Kings, Casey McPherson of Flying Colors, Tom Brislin, tour addition to Yes as Meat Loaf and Marco Minneman of Aristocrats and Dream Theatre. Together with guests Jon Anderson of Yes and ARW, Jordan Rudess of Dream Theatre and Rob Townsend of the Steve Hackett Band this album has it all. This part is live this Saturday on GlassRock. In part 2 we have Riversea with a track from our last month album of the month, Leprous, the Pinapple Thief, dBL and much more. Both parts are live on PopRockFM this Sunday between 20:00 and 22:00 hours GMT+1. 

TVRDO 336 Saturday the 23rd and Sunday the 24th ofJune

Number 336 is here for you to enjoy once more with for the last time Riversea as album of the month, new work by Matthew (The Mighty Handful) Howes, the Pineapple Thief and Leprous. The Live track is this time from the new live album from Fates Warning and 20 years ago Steve Hackett scored an incredible success with his Tokyo Tapes. Further attention to the goodbye album of Unitopia and we look back to 2014 with a release that we apparently missed from Dworniak Bone Lapsa. Jon Hiseman is commemorated with a 1976 Colosseum II track which also included Gary Moore and Don Airey. We end the 2nd part with Yes's "Gates of Delerium" from Relayer but the first half is for Earhside, Sky Harbor, Grand Tour and This Oceanic Feeling. TVRDO 335 Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th of June

We bring you already a little bit of summer this weekend with Cheap Trick's latest release "The Summer Looks Good On You" and we have more summer sounds in the Vault with the Zombies from their only official album Odessey And Oracle (which will be performed live by the way at the Stadstheatre Zoetermeer (organised by De Boerderij) on 28th of July to commemorate it's 50th years anniversary). Two Dutch bands this week with new releases. First Unkh from their new album "Innerverse" and Entering Polaris with their album "Godseed". A new track from Supergroup, formed The Sea Within, this time with vocals by Casey McPherson of Flying Colors. We throw another Roine Stolt track in when he played as guest with An Endless Sporadic. Then Phideux Xavier with a comeback after 7 years and Ben Craven with a tune from a non-existant movie. Haken is in the Live-act from their album L-1ve recorded in the Melweg, Amsterdam before a very enthousiastic public. We start however with a track from Whisbone Ash which was released 20 years ago. In the 2nd hour we feature songs from Nina Fian, Rodrigo Leão, Public Service Broadcasting, Riverside, Colin Bass, Brainbox, John Hackett, Abel Ganz, Advent and Emmett Elvin. Sky (the band) takes us back 20 years with their album "Squared", Peter Gabriel is in the Vault from his album "Big Ball", this week's classic is by Argent, Tarja Turunen is "Live" and our album of the Month remains Riversea with "the Tide". New work from Darryl Way, John Holden (featuring Peter Jones), Coheed and Cambria, The Fierce and the Dead, Soul Doubt and two tracks in the Double Bill by Don Airey's new release One Of A Kind (Deep Purple fans should enjoy this). Furthermore Lisa LaRue featuring John Payne and from Italy Progenesi. The second hour we feature Mike Portnoy's top 5 of his favourite and most influential songs.
