Rush's Alex Lifeson), The Minstrel's Ghost, The Far Meadow, Crossfade from Sweden, from Holland Joost Maglev with special guests (ao) Annie Haslam and Arjen Lucassen and from Italy the new release from Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso and we stay in Italy with Oscillazioni Alchemico Kreative for the last time as our album of the Month. In the Overdrive section in the 2nd hour we play long tracks by Jethro Tull, Eloy, Gandalf and Gracious from 1970. Jazzy sounds from Snarky Puppy, psychedelia with the new Gong, poppy sounds from Pilot in the Vault with a not such a familiar track, the album of the month by OAK featuring David (VDGG) Jackson, Simon Godfrey of the bands Shineback and Valdez takes us back to the 2nd Queen album in the Tracks of My Years. New releases from Soen, Coheed and Cambria, Voyager and The Steve Bonino Project and That Joe Payne wonders if there's a light at the end of the Tunnel. For the last time Steve Hackett's "At the Edge of Light" as Album of Month, and we saved the best song for last! As always we try to bring you interesting stuff in the show. This time we have a collaboration between Karnataka's former drummer Jimmy Pallagrosi and That Joe Payne (formerly of the Enid) in new band ZIO. A new Millenium from Poland with new singer Marek Smelkowski. The new single by Dutch Prog Metal band Within Temptation and Steve Bonino's (Bomber Goggles, Zabocus) new release from Stargazer 2. The Vault features Nirvana (no, not the band with Kurt Corbain) with their psychedelic single "Love Is" from 1978. Which is 10 years after their hit "Rainbow Chaser" which in turn was the first record to use the audio technique known as phasing. The Tracks of My Years features Roine Stolt's former band Kaipa from their album "Mindrevolutions". A very catchy song from Fernando Perdomo from his album "Zebra Crossing" is also on the setlist tonight. A song which he penned with Beach Boys lyricist Stephen Kalinich. We start the show however with a track from the IQ album "Lost Attick" which was released 20 years ago. The Overdrive section the 2nd hour features three long songs of over 15 minutes. This time with Renaissance (Sherezade), Gazpacho (Demon) and Genesis (Abacab). Porcupine Tree's release 20 Years ago ft. Steven Wilson, British band Wally in our Vault and Dungen in our Tracks of My Years a pick by Steve Babb of Glass Hammer. Steve Hackett with another track from our Album of the Month. New releases by Toto, Focus and from Italy Mad Fellaz. Joost Maglev shared a first track from his new album "Alter Ego", which once again features Annie Haslam of Renaissance and keeping wet feet in the Low Counties there's a rerealese by The Last Detail, which was out of print for years. We also have a somewhat interesting King Crimson mix to celebrate their 50 years anniversary, it's the song "Cadence and Cascade", which appeared on "The Wake of Poseidon", KC's 2nd album in 1969 with multiple vocalists added to the original, from original singer Gordon Haskell, to Greg Lake and Adrian Belew to current vocalist Jakko Jakszyk. We close the first hour with Trevor Horn's "Owner of a lonely Heart" from his "Reimagines the Eighties" which he released last monthThe Overdrive section, the 2nd hour, only two songs this time by Big Big Train and their "London Song" and more brass with Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother". Casey McPherson (Flying Colors/Alpha Rev) with a track from his new album Cas-E Session, the Neil Morse band with a happy song, and new tracks from Dutch proggers Autumn, from Finland Wheel and from Italy OAK (Oscillazioni Alchemico Kreative) from their album "Giordano Bruno" with special guests Sonja Kristina (Curved Air) and David Jackson (Van der Graaf Generator). Steve Babb from the band Glass Hamer is in our Tracks feature and het choise "Platinum" by Mike Oldfield. New releases from the Neil Morse Band, All Traps On Earth, Soen, England and for the last time as AOM Liverpool based band Antimatter. The Overdrive section in the second hour features only two songs. This time by Dutch outfit Coda for a very symphonic tune and Miles Davis on the jazzrock side. Ed Platt from Enchant treats us on a track by Kansas as part of his Tracks of My Years feature this month. We start however with an album released 20 years ago by Camel and we finish with Lux Terminus ft. Anneke van Giersbergen.
